   ATTENTION MICROS RETAIL SYSTEMS' CUSTOMERS!

March 1, 2005

Dear Valued MICROS Customer,

Hopefully you are now aware of Visa CISP compliancy regulations. CISP is not the same as FCRA, though.  The Fair Credit Reporting Act requirement is related to “truncating” the credit card # and masking the Expiration date.  A new federal law states that all point-of-sale systems and credit card authorization receipt printers sold after January 1, 2005 must comply with the law and any system sold prior to January 1, 2005  must be made compliant by December 4, 2006.

Please contact us if you are authorizing credit cards through your MICROS system and the entire credit card number is printed.  Our consultants will explain to you what your options are to become compliant and avoid steep federal fines.

Regards,
